Belmont Resident Named Director of Ambulatory Services for McLean

July 19, 2000 -- Belmont, MA -- Belmont resident James Ellison, MD, has been named director of Ambulatory Services for McLean Hospital. In this position, Ellison will oversee the 12 outpatient clinics and their 150 clinicians at McLean. McLean provides more than 37, 000 ambulatory visits per year. He will continue in his role as clinical director of the hospital’s Geriatric Psychiatry Program.

Prior to joining the McLean staff, Ellison served as chief of the Harvard Vanguard Mental Health Department in Burlington Mass. and as chief of the Department of Psychiatry at Boston Regional Medical Center. He also is active in residency training, providing the principal psychopharmacology seminars for medical residents at Cambridge Hospital for the past 16 years.
