McLean Psychiatrist Receives Achievement Award

April 25, 2001 -- Belmont, MA --  Sharon Weinstein, MD, a staff psychiatrist in McLean Hospital’s Child and Adolescent Outpatient Clinic and assistant professor at Harvard Medical School, has been awarded the New England Council of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry’s (NECCAP) first annual achievement award for outstanding contribution to the field of child psychiatry. Weinstein is the immediate past president of NECCAP.

NECCAP has 420 members and is the largest regional subdivision of the American Academy of Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry (AACAP).

A Fellow at AACAP, Weinstein has also been elected to its nominating committee and has received AACAP’s best regional newsletter award for her work as editor.

AACAP has a membership of more than 6,500 child and adolescent psychiatrists across the United States and Canada.

Weinstein, a graduate of Harvard University and Yale Medical School, resides in Lincoln and practices child, adolescent and adult psychiatry in Lexington.
