McLean Names Associate Director of Development

July 30, 2001 -- Belmont, MA --  Jay Livingston, MA, was recently named associate director of development for McLean Hospital.

"Mr. Livingston will play a key role in increasing major gifts to the hospital from individuals, foundations and corporations and in strategic planning," said Catharine Cook, director of the McLean Development Office.

Livingston comes to McLean in the wake of one of the hospital’s most successful fundraising years. In 2000, McLean received the greatest total of gifts—some $5.5 million—in the hospital’s 190-year history. In addition, the hospital recently received a $12.5 million donation—the largest single charitable gift ever received by a hospital within the Partners HealthCare System.

Prior to coming to McLean, Livingston worked for 23 years as the principle consultant of Livingston Services in Medford, MA, a practice that worked to emphasize and enhance interpersonal skills for managers, increase effectiveness of organizational structures and systems, and improve communication among organizational team members.
