"As a council member, I look forward to offering professional support, education, advocacy and practice development to my colleagues statewide," said Bolton, who resides in Concord.

For the past eight years, Bolton has directed McLean's CEC, a program specializing in the assessment and stabilization of individuals in acute psychiatric crisis. Bolton's compassionate and superior care for patients has led her to be a sought after educator for future caregivers, including psychiatry residents, medical students, physician assistant students and clinical nurse specialist students. Additionally, Bolton is recognized by colleagues as leader who strives to develop protocols related to improvement of patient care.

An Instructor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, Bolton is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Psychiatric Association and the Massachusetts Medical Society. In 2002, she earned the Excellence in Teaching of Physician Assistant Students Award from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

McLean Hospital is the largest psychiatric clinical care, teaching and research facility of Harvard Medical School, an affiliate of Massachusetts General Hospital and a member of Partners HealthCare.
