Founded in 1988 as one of the first neuroimaging centers in the country, the McLean Imaging Center has grown into a premier biomedical imaging center and a leader in diagnostic imaging. With a multidisciplinary team of more than 60 dedicated staff, patients benefit from state-of-the-art approaches to clinical imaging, easy and quick access to clinical scanners, and expert radiologists.

MR Scanners

The Center supports two clinical whole-body magnetic resonance scanners (Siemens Trio 3T and GE 1.5T scanner), as well as a dedicated research-only Varian 4T scanner.

The Center's high field clinical scanner is a Siemens Trio 3T, further enhanced by the most advanced coil technology, which affords the greatest flexibility, accuracy and speed. It significantly enhances image quality and, for some diagnostic tests, shortens scan time. The Trio system is approved by the FDA for clinical diagnostic use.

Remote Access to Scan Orders, Reports and Key Images

Referring physicians can access the Center’s website via a smartphone, tablet (e.g., iPad) or computer.

Radiologists can flag key images, providing referring physicians with information that can be shared with patients immediately.
